Continental says it has received its first major order – from a global vehicle manufacturer – for a pillar-to-pillar display in a production vehicle. By developing a display solution that extends across the entire width of the cockpit, the technology company says it is continuing the trend toward larger displays, which has been ongoing for many years.
BOE has recently introduced a passive LCD solution with touch integration (Incell). This Incell touch solution is ideal for applications using a passive LCD display (TH or IBN based). The integrated solution reduces costs of the display. Typical applications will be control units manufactured in volume.
These days, displays have become an important part of interaction between human and vehicle. At the SID 2019 show held in San Jose, California, BOE released its latest in-vehicle display solution: the Smart Cockpit. The Smart Cockpit let visitors experience what driving a car in the future will be like.
