Varitronix was founded in 1978, became a strong supplier of passive displays in the industry and went public in 1991. In 2016, the BOE group became a major shareholder of BOE Varitronix. This integration led to sustainable development in business, innovation technology, capital and resource utilization.

Today, headquartered in Hong Kong, BOE Varitronix is in the front of new product technologies serving customers in the Automotive, Industrial and Medical markets.
Working from local offices in the main areas in Europe, our team continues to work with our customers on new and exciting projects for custom and semi-custom display solutions.

2018

BOE Varitronix celebrated its 40th anniversary.

2017

Chengdu Project Company received IATF 16949 certification.

2016

Subscription of Varitronix’s shares by BOE Technology Group.

2010

Received OHSAS18000 certification.

2008

Celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Varitronix. And received QC080000 certification.

2007

Formed a consortium with two other manufacturing companies to acquire South Korean based TFT manufacturer, Hydis.

2005

Received ISO14001 certification.

2004

Received ISO/TS 16949 certification.

2003

Expanded production capacity in Heyuan.

2001

Received QS9000 certification.

1997

Launched LCD displays for automotive applications.

1995

Received ISO:9001 certification.

1993

Completed manufacturing facilities in Heyuan, Guangdong Province, PRC.

1991

Listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
